Biking Around The Neighborhood (Part 6 of 12) (A Friends to Lovers Sweet Romance)
“You keep me in stitches, my darling,” said her father. “Olly, don’t you think your mother is hilarious?”
Olivia couldn’t help but smile every time her father laughed at her mother’s quips. They’d set up a boardgame in the sunroom on the coffee table, complete with a pot of tea at her mother’s side.
“You keep me in stitches, my darling,” said her father. “Olly, don’t you think your mother is hilarious?”
“You’re both a riot,” replied Olivia. “I’ve missed this. Seeing you both crack each other up so much brings back so many warm memories.”
“We used to have family game nights all the time,” said her mother.
Olivia felt her phone vibrate in her pocket. She pulled it out to notice her alarm going off.
“I totally forgot,” she said. “I’m supposed to meet Josh for dinner.”
“Oh?” She caught her mother’s sly grin. “You’re getting dinner with Josh?”
“It’s just to catch up,” replied Olivia. “That’s it.”
“Call it whatever you want,” replied her mother, “but I bet he’s calling it a date.”
“Which one is Josh?” asked her father.
“The handsome one… I mean… I have to go. Can we finish this game later?”
“Go on,” said her mother. “Enjoy your date.”
“It’s not a date.”
“She’s going on a date?” asked her father.
“It’s not a date.”
